On March 7, 2019, the UK Government announced two new visas and closed the Tier 1 entrepreneur visa to new applicants with effective from 29 March, 2019. The two new visa categories, the UK Start-up visa (no funds needed) and UK innovator visa (GBP£50,000 funding needed), will replace the Tier 1 entrepreneur visa.
