About Canada

Canada is a country in the northern part of North America. Its ten provinces and three territories extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean, covering 9.98 million square kilometres, making it the world’s second-largest country by total area.

The population of Canada is about 30,000,000 and Canada is one of the countries with lowest population density in the world. The population distribution in Canada is very uneven, while most residents live in the southern areas.

Canada is a nation of immigrants, composes of mainly British and French. There are also Italy, Germany, Ukraine and other Europeans. Asian immigrants are mainly Chinese and Japanese, while the aborigines are the American Indians, but their population is below 3% of the country.

This visa is for recent graduates and skilled workers who have the skills needed in the local labour market to successfully settle and economically establish in Manitoba as permanent residents.

Requirements:

  • Attended an authorized education or training program at the institution in Manitoba
  • The academic or vocational program was full-time and at least one academic year in duration
  • Have English language proficiency of minimum CLB/NCLC7 (or equivalent)

Have a full time job offer from a Manitoba employer with a minimum one year employment contract

This visa is for individuals who possess the skills and abilities to fill labour shortages in Alberta.

Requirements:

  • Have completed a certificate, diploma, degree or graduate level program from an eligible institution in Alberta
  • The completed program of study must be at least one year long
  • Be working in Alberta full-time for an employer, and the occupation must on the eligible occupation list

Have English language proficiency of minimum CLB/NCLC5 (or equivalent)

Employer Sponsor Visa

This visa is for in-home caregiver that help parents look after children or help seniors, people with disabilities and individuals in rehabilitation by providing personal care and companionship during times of recovery, incapacitation and family disruption.

  • Completion of one year of post-secondary school education
  • Have child care or home management experience
  • Have English language proficiency of minimum CLB/NCLC5 (or equivalent)
  • Have a full time job offer from the  employer with a minimum two years employment contract

This visa is for skilled workers in a professional, management, technical, trade or other skilled occupation to gain permanent residence in British Columbia.

Requirements:

  • Have a full-time job offer from a British Columbia employer
  • The job must be in a National Occupational Classification skilled occupation
  • Be qualified to perform the duties of the job
  • Have at least two years of directly related work experience
  • Have English language proficiency of minimum CLB/NCLC7 (or equivalent)

This visa is for foreign nationals to work for employers in Canada’s four Atlantic provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island) as the job demand haven’t been able to fill locally.

Requirements:

  • Completion of at least high school
  • Have at least one year related work experience
  • Have English language proficiency of minimum CLB/NCLC4 (or equivalent)
  • Have a full-time job offer from an Atlantic region employer

This visa is for foreign nationals that willing to work for small and remote communities in Ontario, Western Canada and the three territories.

Requirements:

  • Completion of at least high school
  • Have at least one year related work experience
  • Have English language proficiency of minimum CLB/NCLC4 (or equivalent)
  • Have a full-time job offer from one of the participating communities

This visa is designed to attract high-net-worth individuals, who will make a substantial contribution to Quebec’s economic development.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old or above
  • Have two years of suitable management or business experience within the five years preceding the application
  • Have a minimum net worth of at least $2 million CAD and the assets were obtained legally

Investment Plan:

  • Investment of $1.2 million into a passive government guaranteed investment for a period of five years bearing no interest; or
  • investment of a lump sum payment of CAD 350,000 as financing fees made to an authorized financial intermediary

This visa is designed to attract innovative foreign national entrepreneurs who will create new employment opportunities and drive economic growth in Canada.

Requirements:

  • Have a qualifying business
  • Have a secure commitment from a Designated Entity in Canada
  • Have sufficient funds to settle in Canada
  • Have English language proficiency of minimum CLB/NCLC5 (or equivalent)
